Over-whelmed with planning?

This page breaks-down the average wedding day into small chunks of helpful text and videos so you can have a better understanding of what to expect on the wedding day.

These tips and tricks help ensure your day runs smooth with as little anxiety and stress as possible.  Our main objective is you get the MOST out of your day!

Pictures are important, but it's just as important (or more important) to get out on that dance floor and have the time of your life!!

Engagement Sessions

Engagement Sessions

A chance to get in front of the lens and get the jitters out. Learn how natural and easy posing really is. • How do you stand? • What do you do with your hands? • OK - Kiss! Huh?! It's not as weird as you (or your guy) thinks. You'll see it's really fun!

This page and the videos below will help walk you through a typical wedding day so we're all on the same page and get all the right shots.

Arrival Time

Arrival Time

So what time do we actually start? Typically 2 hours pre-ceremony or 3.5 hours if you're doing a first look.

Your Gift

Your Gift

Our Italian Leather Folio holds your engagement pictures printed on hand-torn Amalfi paper and is hand-stitched together for an amazing quality and refinement. As with our guest book you can write love letters to each other on pages between images to preserve how you felt on your wedding day.

Getting Ready

Getting Ready

When choosing the location where you'll get ready, consider how many people will be with you - including vendors - and consider all the bags, luggage, etc. Try not to choose a small room and have more people than can fit.

Guys Getting Ready

Guys Getting Ready

Coverage of guys getting ready can only be done if they're getting ready at the same location as the girls (same hotel) or if you hire a second photographer to cover the guys. Second photographers can be added to any package for $125 per hour with a four hour minimum.

Invitation and Jewelry

Invitation and Jewelry

Flowers should be scheduled to arrive about 30 minutes after the photographer. Have an area set aside for all your details such as jewelry, Invitation, shoes, garter, etc so we can get pictures of these items with the flowers.

First Look

First Look

If you're seeing each other pre-ceremony we'll set up a "Reveal". We'll then get all your immediate family and wedding party pictures out of the way early so you can enjoy your own cocktail hour. We typically arrive 3.5 hours pre-ceremony when doing a first-look.

Ceremony

Ceremony

Remember, you're literally on-stage. Turn your shoulders out toward the audience whenever possible (especially during vows and rings).

Wedding Party and Family Pictures

Wedding Party and Family Pictures

During the formal picture time we want immediate family and wedding party. This means bride and grooms parents, siblings, siblings spouses and their kids (bride and grooms nieces and nephews). Grandparents are invited if they're able. Aunts, uncles, cousins, etc may be done inside the reception to avoid too much chaos during the formal picture time (unless it's a well organized smaller group).

Fun Pictures

Fun Pictures

Once we get some good formal shots of your group we want to let loose and have fun. We really want your personalities to show, so although we may give suggestions - we don't pose anything. It's up to your group to do what they want.

The WOW Shots

The WOW Shots

The time we have to get amazing shots of just the two of you can sometimes be limited to as little as 10 minutes so we've got to make it count. Don't worry about posing - we'll guide you, but here are some tips. 1. Touch each other! Hold each other. Never let a hand just hang down by your side. 2. Kiss 3. Loosen up 4. Kiss 5. Don't worry - we'll make you look amazing. We know you don't do this every weekend, . . . but we do.

The Guest Book

The Guest Book

Created from your Engagement Pictures the Guest Book intermingles areas for your guests to leave comments for you on your wedding day. It's the perfect way to personalize your guests experience.

Introductions Into Reception

Introductions Into Reception

Instruct your wedding party to do all the fun stuff of their introduction on the dance floor so everyone can see - not at the door where only half the room sees.

The Photo Booth

The Photo Booth

Guests LOVE it! With the ability to text/email directly to guests' phones it's become an expectation of guests at most weddings. This is THEIR chance to get some fun pictures on their own.

Large Group Shots

Large Group Shots

Don't waste time trying to gather large groups on your wedding day. Designate someone to be the "Go-To" person to gather them for you. Once assembled, you jump into the shot. This way it only takes a few minutes for you, but up to 20 minutes saved of running around trying to find everyone. Also, give the group a heads up. Email ahead of time saying "When you see salad hit your table - go to the bar for this picture".

Parent Albums

Parent Albums

They • Want • This Whether you get it as a gift for them or you have them reach out to us directly let me be clear. THEY WANT THIS. After all they've done for you this day is as (or more) important to them than you'll ever know. Usually their relationship to us is through you. You need to afford them the opportunity to get a parent album.

Table Shots

Table Shots

List of reasons we DON'T do Table Shots: 1. Guests hate it 2. Best time is during salad but servers are trying to serve and people are trying to eat. Can't do it once meals are out. 3. Guests hate it If there are particular individuals or groups you want pictures with we'll absolutely get it. We also get everyone who touches the dance floor and smaller groups later in the night at the tables.

Other Photographers

Other Photographers

We welcome your guests to take as many pictures as possible. We ask that you NOT have other vendors such as DJ's bring someone to take pictures and display them during the reception. Guests will assume that person works for us and if their pictures are not good it will reflect poorly upon us.

Departure Time

Departure Time

Our Premiere Experience offers unlimited time. Typically there are two hours of dancing. The first hour we get as many great shots as possible of everyone who touches the dance floor - both fun crazy shots and couples during slow dances. We then hit the tables and get shots of those who don't dance. The second hour guest usually appreciate not having a photographer present and we excuse ourselves. We can stay to the end if you see the need.

Your Premiere!!!

Your Premiere!!!

About two to three weeks after your wedding you'll be invited back to our studio for your personal Premiere of your images. This will be the first time you see your images. We will have selected the best of the best and pre-designed the interior pages of your album and selected our favorites for your Personal Wall Art.

Your Custom Album

Your Custom Album

Because every wedding is different, we want the album to perfectly reflect YOUR wedding. We use your colors, your design elements and so much more to create a keepsake that no one else will ever have. All albums start as a "Starter Kit" with design modifications and upgrades available after the wedding.

Wall Art

Wall Art

At your Premiere we'll be selecting your Wall Art pieces. Most couples get at least one soft sentimental one for the bedroom and one Wow shot for the living room. Other favorites are a full-family shot, full wedding party and of course a "Guy" shot for the man-cave.

It does not end here

It does not end here
