Black and whites are gorgeous. They have a timeless element that removes the distraction of color and allows for a purer message to come across in the image. I always caution customers to not be overly impressed by them however. If you see too many black and whites by a photographer it could mean that they simply couldn't get the color or light right. It can be used as a crutch. You should be able to be both - and perfectly!
