Tucked along the water in Kingston, it has that laid-back coastal vibe without feeling overly formal. Between the marina, the docks, and the waterfront views, there are so many fun spots to create photos that feel natural and true to the day.
What I really like about weddings here is that they never feel cookie-cutter. Whether you're planning a casual summer celebration or something a little more elegant, the venue has a way of making everyone feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. That relaxed atmosphere shows up in the photos too—real smiles, genuine moments, and a day that feels like you instead of something staged. Ceremony
I've only seen indoor ceremonies here but wow is it unique. The vibes are so real. The look, the feel, the things they've got hanging from the ceiling and along the walls are just so cool and fun, it's definitely something guests will remember.
Depending on time of year/day lighting during the ceremony can be a bit tricky. As you look at the ceremony, the sun is setting behind and to the right and can catch the ceiling windows just right to put a beam of light directly on half the ceremony and leave the other half in shade. Having a strong photographer that can compensate for that (like me) is super important.
What if it rains?
The default is indoor ceremony anyway, so rain isn't a huge concern. Also, there's enough unique little spots around the room for cool shots. Yeah, we'd always like to get outside at some point, so hopefully there's a quick break we can hop out and get some nature type shots. It's never been a problem. There's always a point where we can do that.

Family and wedding party pictures would typically occur either immedaitely following "First Look" or direclty after the ceremony during cocktail hour unless you built in a gap between a church ceremony and arriving on property.
Regardless, at some point just before or near sunset I'll take just the two of you outside again for those soft-light intimate shots. It should only take like 10 minutes but these are the shots you hire me for. These are the jaw-dropping, tier enducing, OMG shots.

In all my years, I've only had maybe a handful of weddings that were 100% completely washed out. It's so rare it's not worth discussing. Yeah, maybe the ceremony gets moved indoors. Maybe the family and wedding party pics are on the dance floor but there will almost certainly be an opportunity between drops to run outside for a few pics of the two of you.

I typically like an hour, but I'm SUPER efficient. It really comes down to how large your group is. How many in the wedding party? How big is your family? Are there divorces with step family? Are there grandparents? Do you want to include aunts, uncles, cousins? The smaller the group the easier it is obviously.

The back deck area is basically it. It offers some variety, but not a ton. It does what we need, but the true variety comes when we go inside and get all the little bits and pieces of the property that are so eclectic and unique.

I wouldn't be talking about it otherwise - absolutely. There's a benefit to knowing the flow of things. Where you're allowed to go and where's off-limits. Knowing where the shadows will fall and knowing what will be in bloom. Even just knowing how the staff approaches the day and their personalities. It all helps make the entire day run smoothly for you. There's an unspoken "nod and wink" between me and the day-of coordinator keeping everything perfect so you get the most out of the day.

They cater to you, but not in an overly pampered way. It's family run - same family that runs The Charlie Horse up the street and Abington Ale House. You're getting good reliable staff and amazing food because that's what they do best.
